Ellen dedicated her life to helping others, always passionate about supporting meaningful causes. In February 2024, she was diagnosed with an exceptionally rare cancer — Richter Syndrome. At the time, she was the only known case in Australia and one of just 84 reported globally.

This diagnosis revealed a devastating truth: while incredible progress has been made in cancer research, super rare cancers like Richter Syndrome often remain overlooked and drastically underfunded. With limited trials and almost no targeted treatment options, patients facing these diagnoses are left with few paths forward.

Ellen believed in action, not just awareness. She wanted her legacy to fuel real change — to help drive research, accelerate breakthroughs, and bring hope to others facing the unknown.
